At Tahlula Hut, our story started from Ellie. A young self - taught artist from New Zealand. 
As Ellie slowly became a woman, she realised just how much plastic is sewn into our daily lives. She also realised how much she loves art - to incorporate both into her world, she decided to create 100% real silk sleepwear. 

Ellie is now living in Australia, and has a passion for not only the ocean, surfing, health and wellness. But also for sustainable living practices, including natural fabrics, and natural products. 

Growing up in a coastal town, working on her Father's boat - Ellie has been in the ocean since she was a little girl. Not knowing where to start, Ellie recruited her mother Stephenie (against her will) to help her make this vision reality. 

With Mama Steph's 30 years of experience as a sign writer/business owner, and Ellie's love of art - we poured our hearts into what you now know as Tahlula Hut.
